Camillo 7040 Technorattan Stacking Chair in Green & White

A café or restaurant terrace chair that stacks neatly out of the way when not in use. The Camillo 7040 by BHS is built for daily service in spaces where floor area must be cleared quickly for cleaning or reconfiguration. Up to twelve chairs can be stacked vertically, one on top of the other, so a full set occupies only the footprint of a single chair.

The seat and backrest are woven from technorattan, a synthetic fibre designed to withstand weather and frequent handling. The cross-weave pattern is not merely decorative; it distributes the sitter's weight across multiple strands, reducing pressure on any single point and extending the life of the material. Beneath the weave, the frame is aluminium tubing, chosen for its balance of lightness and strength. Aluminium does not rust, so the chair can be used outdoors without the corrosion that would eventually weaken a steel frame.

Assembly is already complete when the chair arrives. The operator simply lifts it from the delivery carton and places it at a table. When the service period ends, the chairs are stacked by lifting one and lowering it onto the next, aligning the legs so the stack remains stable. The low weight of 3.96 kg makes lifting and carrying manageable for a single staff member.

The chair's dimensions—570 mm wide, 560 mm deep and 830 mm high—fit standard café tables and allow comfortable spacing between diners. The green and white colour scheme is applied to the technorattan strands, giving a consistent appearance across the entire set. No moving parts or controls are present; the chair is a static piece of furniture that requires no adjustment or programming.

Cleaning is limited to wiping the technorattan surface and the aluminium frame with a damp cloth. The material does not absorb spills, so liquids can be removed before they stain. The stackable design also allows the chairs to be moved outdoors for hosing down when the weather permits, although the manufacturer does not specify a waterproof rating.

The Camillo 7040 is supplied as a single model in the green and white colourway. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments, provided the surface beneath it is level and stable.
