Chair CUBA in Beige Technorattan

A dining chair designed for outdoor service combines seating comfort with resistance to weather. The CUBA chair uses technorattan, a synthetic weave that repels moisture and resists fading from sunlight. The material wraps around a steel frame, giving the chair its shape while keeping the weight low enough for staff to move between tables or store at the end of service.

Technorattan is formed into continuous strands that are woven over the frame, creating a surface that drains water and dries quickly. The weave pattern allows air to circulate, reducing the chance of mould or mildew when the chair is left outside. Because the material is synthetic, it does not crack or splinter like natural rattan, and it withstands repeated cleaning with water and mild detergents.

The operator places the chair at a table, ensuring the legs are level on the patio or deck. Guests sit directly on the woven seat, which flexes slightly to provide comfort without cushioning. When service ends, staff lift the chair by its frame and stack or hang it on a rack to clear the space. The 5 kg weight allows one person to carry several chairs at once, and the compact dimensions let them nest closely for storage.

The frame is made of black steel tubing, powder-coated to prevent rust. Technorattan strands are woven over the frame, covering the seat, backrest and armrests. The chair arrives fully assembled, so no tools are required before use.

The beige colour of the technorattan blends with natural and neutral decor schemes. The 530 mm width fits standard dining tables, while the 870 mm height matches typical bar and counter seating. The 5 kg weight means the chair can be moved by one person, and the 640 mm depth provides enough back support for extended service periods.

Cleaning follows from the materials: a damp cloth removes dust and food spills, and a mild detergent tackles grease. The technorattan can be hosed down if needed, but the chair should be dried before stacking to prevent water pooling in the weave. The steel frame requires no maintenance beyond occasional wiping to remove dirt.
