Chair Jenny for Professional Catering Workstations

A chair jenny provides adjustable-height seating at catering workstations where staff stand for long periods but need to sit for tasks like plating, garnishing or paperwork. The seat rises and lowers on a gas strut, letting each operator set the height that keeps their hands at the correct level for the bench or table without bending or stretching.

The chair rolls on castors so it can be moved between stations without lifting, then locked in place with a foot-operated brake. The backrest and seat are contoured to support the spine during seated work, while the frame keeps the chair stable on uneven kitchen floors.

To use the Chair Jenny, unlock the brake with a foot pedal, roll the chair to the workstation, then press the lever under the seat to raise or lower it until the operator's hands rest naturally on the worktop. Once the height is set, lock the brake again to prevent the chair rolling during use. When the task is finished, unlock the brake and move the chair to the next station or store it out of the way.

The frame is made of steel tubing for strength and durability under daily use. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a wipe-clean vinyl that resists spills and stains common in professional kitchens. The castors are non-marking to protect floor surfaces.

The height adjustment range of 440 to 820 mm allows the chair to fit under most catering worktops and tables, while the 2710 gr weight keeps it light enough to move easily but heavy enough to stay stable during use. The footprint of 450 by 570 mm takes up minimal floor space in a busy kitchen.

Cleaning involves wiping the vinyl upholstery with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and checking the castors and brake regularly to ensure smooth movement and secure locking.
