Chair Lovely for Professional Catering Workstations

A chair designed for professional catering workstations supports operators during extended shifts at worktops, hobs, or preparation surfaces. The BHS Chair Lovely offers a stable, height-adjustable seat, accommodating staff of varying heights and counter levels. Its design ensures the user remains close to the work surface, reducing strain and allowing precise control over tools while seated or perched on the seat edge.

The height adjustment relies on a gas strut within the central column. Pressing the lever allows smooth movement, raising or lowering the seat without tools. Releasing the lever locks the strut securely, providing infinite adjustment within the specified range and quick reconfiguration for shared use.

To use the chair, the operator adjusts the height until thighs are parallel to the floor and feet rest flat. The lever is released to lock the position. The chair is positioned near the worktop, enabling easy reach across the surface without leaning. When not in use, it can be rolled aside on its castors or lifted by the backrest for cleaning.

The frame is constructed from welded steel with a durable powder-coated finish. The seat and backrest are moulded polypropylene, resistant to moisture, oils, and cleaning chemicals. The sealed gas strut requires no maintenance, and the castors include brakes to prevent unwanted movement.

A single lever beneath the seat on the right-hand side controls the adjustment. Pressing it releases the gas strut, while releasing it locks the height.

The chair measures 590 mm in width and 530 mm in depth, offering a compact footprint that fits beneath most catering worktops while providing ample seating comfort. The height adjusts from 430 mm to 820 mm, suitable for both seated and perch-height tasks, covering standard preparation surface heights in professional kitchens. Its weight ensures stability during use while remaining easy to move between stations.

Cleaning is simple: polypropylene surfaces can be wiped with a damp cloth and kitchen sanitiser. The powder-coated frame resists corrosion from spills. Castors should be checked for debris, and the gas strut should avoid direct heat or sharp impacts to maintain its seal.
