Its gas-lift column responds instantly to fingertip pressure, letting staff adjust seat height without breaking stride during service. The operator pulls the lever, lifts slightly to raise the seat or presses down to lower it, then releases the lever to lock the chosen height. Once set, the chair remains at that level until the lever is pulled again. The base is wide enough to prevent tipping when the user shifts weight or reaches across a worktop, and the five-star footprint keeps the chair steady on uneven kitchen floors. Construction is a welded steel frame finished in a durable powder coat. The seat and backrest are moulded polypropylene, a material that resists staining, does not absorb moisture and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The gas-lift column is rated for frequent adjustment and the lever mechanism is designed for one-handed operation.
