Chair Palma for Professional Dining Areas

A dining chair built for commercial front-of-house use, the Chair Palma combines a fixed seat and back with a gas-lift column that raises or lowers the seat height. The column is compressed by body weight and released by a lever under the seat, letting staff set the chair at the exact height needed for each table or counter. This adjustment keeps diners comfortable and allows the same chair to serve bar seating, standard dining tables and taller counters without swapping furniture.

The chair's height adjusts continuously between 470 mm at its lowest and 900 mm at its highest. At the lowest setting the seat sits at a conventional dining height; at the highest it matches bar stools and counter-height tables. The 480 mm seat width gives enough space for most diners while keeping the chair narrow enough to fit under standard tables and counters when not in use.

Construction is a welded steel frame with a gas-lift column rated for repeated daily use. The seat and back are shaped to support posture without restricting movement, and the feet are fitted with glides to protect floors and allow easy repositioning.

To use, the operator pulls the chair away from the table, sits on the seat to compress the gas column, then operates the lever to raise or lower the seat to the desired height. Once set, the chair locks in place until the lever is pressed again. The process takes seconds and requires no tools.

Cleaning is limited to wiping the seat, back and frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The gas column and lever mechanism are sealed and require no maintenance beyond occasional checks that the lever moves freely.
