Chair Silvy for Catering Workstations

This adjustable chair is designed to support users who need to switch between seated and standing tasks at workstations. The Silvy model provides a stable seating option for short periods of focused work or rest without obstructing movement in busy areas.

A gas-lift column allows smooth height adjustment while seated, enabling users to align their elbows with the work surface. This feature helps reduce shoulder strain during repetitive tasks. The mechanism is enclosed in a steel cylinder, protecting it from moisture and cleaning agents commonly found in work environments.

To adjust the height, the user pulls a lever beneath the seat, moves to the desired position, and releases the lever to lock it in place. The chair remains stable during use and can be easily moved aside when not needed.

The frame is made from powder-coated steel tubing, offering resistance to corrosion and impact. The seat and backrest are moulded polypropylene, a material that resists frequent cleaning and does not retain odours or stains. The five-star base includes non-marking castors for smooth, quiet movement across hard floors.

A single lever under the front edge of the seat controls the height adjustment. Pulling the lever releases the gas spring, allowing free movement; releasing it locks the seat at the chosen height.

With a width of 450 mm and a depth of 570 mm, the chair has a compact footprint suitable for most workstations. The height adjusts from 440 mm to 820 mm, accommodating a range of user heights. The chair weighs 2710 gr, making it easy to reposition or store on a wall-mounted hook.

Cleaning involves wiping the polypropylene surfaces with a damp cloth and approved sanitiser. The steel frame can be cleaned with the same solution, avoiding abrasive pads to protect the powder coating. Castors should be checked regularly for debris to ensure smooth movement.
