Chair TEXAS 0164 in Black Steel and Polywood

A stackable chair built for continuous use in catering and hospitality settings, the TEXAS 0164 combines a rigid steel frame with a contoured polywood seat and backrest. The frame is powder-coated to resist scratches and corrosion, while the polywood panels are shaped to support the body without pressure points, allowing staff or guests to sit comfortably for long shifts or meals.

The chair is designed to stack vertically, one on top of another. When chairs are not in use, they are lifted by the backrest and placed onto the frame of the chair below. This arrangement keeps the footprint small and prevents tipping, so up to four chairs can be stored in the same floor space as one. The process is quick and silent, requiring only one person.

Assembly is straightforward: the seat and backrest panels are bolted to the steel frame at the factory, so the chair arrives ready to use. The operator simply removes any protective film, positions the chair where needed, and repeats the process for additional units. When the event or service is over, the chairs are stacked and moved to a store cupboard or corner.

The frame is made from 2 mm thick steel profiles, powder-coated in black. The seat and backrest are polywood, a dense composite that mimics the grain and feel of ash plywood while resisting moisture and staining. The visible wood grain gives the chair a natural appearance that suits both modern and traditional interiors.

Controls are not required; the chair has no moving parts or electrical components. The only adjustment is the choice of armrests, available as an optional extra on the variant with stackable armrests.

A maximum load of 160 kg means the chair can accommodate a wide range of users, including those wearing heavy workwear or carrying equipment. The footprint of 470 mm by 520 mm allows the chair to fit under standard worktops and tables, while the 830 mm height matches typical dining and counter seating. The black finish blends with most colour schemes and hides scuffs and marks from daily use.

Cleaning is limited to wiping the surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The powder-coated steel resists water and grease, and the polywood panels can be sanitised without warping. No disassembly is needed; the chair is simply wiped down and dried before being stacked or returned to service.

Two versions are available: the standard TEXAS 0164 and a variant with stackable armrests. Both stack to four chairs high and share the same dimensions and load rating.
