Faro Chair for Professional Catering Spaces

A faro chair provides adjustable-height seating that can be quickly reconfigured for banqueting, buffets or temporary dining set-ups in professional catering spaces.

The chair's height is altered by a gas-lift mechanism housed inside the central column. When the lever is pressed, the piston moves, allowing the seat to rise or fall smoothly without the need for tools or disassembly. This mechanism keeps the chair stable at any chosen height, so staff can adapt seating to different table levels or guest requirements in moments.

To use the chair, the operator places it at the desired table, presses the lever to unlock the gas lift, raises or lowers the seat to the correct height, then releases the lever to lock it in place. The chair is then ready for service. When the event ends, the same lever allows the seat to be lowered fully for compact storage or transport.

The frame is constructed from lightweight tubular steel, powder-coated for corrosion resistance. The seat and backrest are formed from a single piece of injection-moulded polypropylene, which resists impacts and is easy to wipe clean between services. The gas-lift column is encased in a protective shroud of the same material.

The height lever is positioned beneath the seat on the right-hand side, where it can be reached without bending or shifting the chair. A single press unlocks the mechanism; releasing the lever locks it again.

The footprint of 560 mm by 540 mm allows the chair to fit under standard catering tables while leaving enough space for guests to move comfortably. The weight of 2.35 kg means a single staff member can carry multiple chairs at once, reducing the time needed to set up or clear a room. The adjustable height range of 430 mm to 800 mm accommodates both low coffee tables and standard dining heights, making the chair suitable for a variety of event formats.

Cleaning is limited to wiping the polypropylene surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The powder-coated steel frame can be cleaned in the same way, avoiding abrasive pads that could damage the finish. The gas-lift mechanism requires no maintenance beyond keeping the lever free of debris.
