Gomera Stripes 215 Stacking Chair in Green

A stacking chair built for repeated use in cafés, terraces and public spaces, where seating must be moved, stored and brought back out again without damage or wear.

The chair is moulded in one piece from polypropylene, a material that does not absorb moisture, resists ultraviolet light and shrugs off dirt. This keeps the surface smooth and unbroken, so spills and stains stay on top and can be wiped away with standard cleaning products. Because the chair is non-porous, it does not harbour bacteria or odours, making it suitable for both indoor dining and outdoor seating through changing weather.

To stack, the operator lifts one chair by the seat edge and lowers it straight down onto the next. The backrest and legs are shaped to interlock, so each chair sits securely on the one below. Up to twelve chairs can be stacked in a single column, reducing the floor space needed for storage to the footprint of one chair. When seating is required, the stack is unloaded in reverse order, chair by chair.

The chair is delivered fully assembled in green polypropylene. Its dimensions—460 mm deep, 560 mm wide and 820 mm high—give a compact footprint while providing enough seat width for comfortable dining. At 3.5 kg, the chair is light enough to be carried by one person, yet stable on uneven outdoor surfaces.

Cleaning follows from the material and construction: a damp cloth or sponge with mild detergent removes most marks. Because the surface is non-absorbent, no scrubbing or deep cleaning is required. The chair can be left outdoors year-round; polypropylene does not crack in frost or soften in heat, so no seasonal storage is necessary.
