INTRECCIO 1616 Black Stacking Chair

A stacking chair built for frequent movement between indoor dining rooms and outdoor terraces. The INTRECCIO 1616 uses a continuous loop of technorattan that wraps the seat and backrest in a single woven sheet. This material is a synthetic fibre engineered to resist moisture, ultraviolet light and temperature swings without fading, cracking or warping. It remains stable in rain, humidity and direct sunlight, so the chair can stay outside through service without damage.

The frame is extruded aluminium, chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio. Aluminium does not rust, requires no protective coating and can be formed into thin sections that keep the chair light enough to lift with one hand. The legs are angled outward for stability, while the backrest is slightly curved to support the spine during long service periods. When not in use, the chairs nest vertically, reducing storage space to a fraction of their footprint.

Assembly is not required; the chair arrives ready to place on the floor. The operator simply lifts it from the delivery carton, positions it at the table and repeats until the setting is complete. After service, the chairs are stacked by lifting one and lowering it onto the next, then moved on a trolley or carried in a stack to the storage area.

The construction combines technorattan for the seating surface and aluminium for the frame. The technorattan is a single continuous weave that covers the seat, backrest and armrests, eliminating seams where dirt could collect. The aluminium frame is left in its natural mill finish, which is corrosion-resistant and requires no maintenance.

Controls are not applicable; the chair has no moving parts or adjustable settings.

The dimensions of 570 mm width, 590 mm depth and 875 mm height create a compact footprint that fits standard dining tables while leaving enough legroom for diners. The weight of 3.92 kg allows a single staff member to carry multiple chairs at once, reducing the time needed to set up or clear a room. The black colour provides a neutral background that blends with most tableware and decor schemes.

Cleaning follows from the materials: the technorattan can be wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent, while the aluminium frame is cleaned with the same solution. Neither material absorbs stains, so spills do not penetrate the surface. The chair is stackable, so it can be stored in a dry area to prevent dust accumulation between uses.
