LARA Folding Stackable Wood & Steel Chair

A chair built for the rhythm of professional catering, where seating must appear, serve and disappear again without fuss. The LARA model combines a powder-coated steel frame with a seat and backrest of solid acacia wood. Steel carries the load and resists the knocks of daily service; wood gives a warmer surface that stays comfortable for hours and ages with the character of the room. The two materials are joined so the chair folds flat when not in use and stacks neatly when storage space is tight.

Folding chairs work on a simple hinge principle. The frame splits at the back legs and the seat pivots down between them. When the chair is opened, the hinge locks into a rigid triangle that holds the sitter's weight without sagging. The same hinge lets the chair fold again in seconds, reducing its footprint to a few centimetres. Stacking takes advantage of the flat profile: chairs nest one above the other, so a dozen can be stored in the space of two or three standing upright.

To prepare the LARA chair, lift it from the stack, unfold the seat and backrest, and let the hinge click into place. The chair is now ready for service. When the meal is over, fold it flat, carry it to the store and stack it with the others. The powder-coated finish protects the steel from scratches during handling, while the wood surface can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the steel with a damp cloth to remove dust and spills, and treat the wood occasionally with food-safe oil to preserve its appearance. No disassembly is needed; the chair remains ready for the next service.
