LORENZO 0101 Technorattan Stacking Chair in Black

A technorattan chair combines the natural look of woven rattan with the resilience of synthetic materials. The polypropylene strands are extruded and then woven into a continuous pattern that mimics traditional rattan. This method creates a surface that resists moisture, UV light and temperature changes, so the chair keeps its appearance whether it is placed in a conservatory, on a patio or in a busy café. The weave is not merely decorative; it distributes weight evenly across the frame and adds stiffness to the seat, preventing sag over time.

The chair arrives fully assembled. To use it, simply lift it by the backrest and place it where it is needed. When more chairs are required, they can be stacked one on top of the other up to nine high. The stack is stable enough to be moved as a single unit, saving space and reducing handling time.

The seat and backrest are woven from black polypropylene technorattan. Beneath the seat a tighter cross-weave reinforces the structure, increasing load-bearing capacity and extending the chair's working life under daily use. The frame is made of aluminium, chosen for its light weight and resistance to corrosion. The combination of materials keeps the chair at 5.2 kg, so one person can carry it easily.

Controls are not required; the chair is ready for immediate use. Its dimensions—590 mm wide, 630 mm deep and 840 mm high—give it a compact footprint that fits standard dining tables and bar counters while leaving enough legroom for most adults.

The weight of 5.2 kg makes the chair easy to move between indoor and outdoor settings, yet stable enough to remain in place during use. The polypropylene weave does not absorb water, so the chair dries quickly after rain and does not become heavier. The aluminium frame does not rust, so the chair can be left outside without protective covers.

Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the technorattan with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The smooth surface of the polypropylene strands prevents dirt from becoming embedded, so stains lift without scrubbing. The frame can be cleaned in the same way. Because the chair is stackable, multiple units can be cleaned in a single operation, reducing labour time.
