MATTEO 0377 Technorattan Chair in Beige

A café chair built for daily service on terraces and in dining rooms must balance lightness with strength. The MATTEO 0377 achieves this by combining an aluminium frame with a technorattan seat and back. Aluminium gives the chair its low weight and resistance to corrosion, while the synthetic rattan weave adds rigidity and a textured surface that resists slipping and wear. The two materials work together: the frame carries the load, the weave distributes it across the seat and backrest, preventing sag and extending the chair's working life. The chair arrives fully assembled. The operator simply lifts it from the delivery carton and places it at a table. When not in use, the chairs stack vertically, one on top of the other, up to twelve high. This stacking design keeps the footprint small, freeing floor space for cleaning or reconfiguration. Each chair is lifted by its frame, carried to the stack, and lowered until the legs align with those below. The same process in reverse returns the chair to service. Construction centres on the aluminium frame, which is shaped into legs, seat supports and backrest uprights. Technorattan is woven across the seat and up the back in a continuous pattern, secured to the frame with clips. The beige colour is integral to the rattan, so it does not fade or peel. The chair's overall dimensions—570 mm wide, 570 mm deep and 880 mm high—fit standard café tables while allowing comfortable legroom. At 3.94 kg, the chair is light enough for staff to move frequently without strain, yet heavy enough to remain stable when occupied. The technorattan weave sheds crumbs and spills naturally, so a quick brush or wipe keeps the seat looking fresh between shifts. The technorattan surface is wiped with a damp cloth to remove dust and spills; the aluminium frame is cleaned with a mild detergent solution. Neither material absorbs moisture, so the chair dries quickly and does not harbour mould. The stackable design allows the entire set to be moved aside for thorough floor cleaning.
