A napkin dispenser holds a stack of folded paper napkins and releases them one at a time through a front opening. The mechanism relies on gravity and a simple spring-loaded gate: the weight of the stack presses the bottom napkin against the gate, and when the gate is pulled or pushed, the napkin slides out while the next one is held in place. This design keeps the stack tidy, prevents spills and allows staff to retrieve a napkin with one hand while the other hand carries a tray or plate.

To use the dispenser, the operator lifts the top lid, places a fresh stack of napkins inside, and closes the lid. When a customer or staff member pulls the front flap, the bottom napkin is released. The process repeats until the stack is empty, at which point the unit is reloaded.
