A solid-surface worktop panel finished in natural oak veneer brings the warmth and grain of real wood to professional catering stations without the weight of a full-thickness slab.
Veneered worktops use a stable engineered core overlaid with a thin slice of hardwood. The core resists warping from heat and moisture, while the oak veneer provides the colour, texture and hygienic seal that stainless steel cannot. The result is a surface that can be wiped clean like laminate yet retains the visual appeal of timber, making it suitable for open kitchens and front-of-house displays.
Installation follows the same sequence as any rigid panel. The 600 mm square format allows the panel to be laid directly onto existing cupboard carcasses or fixed to a supporting frame. A 38 mm thickness gives enough rigidity to span standard catering-unit spacing without additional bracing. Edges can be left square for a modern look or routed and sealed for a more finished appearance.
The natural oak veneer is supplied ready-sanded and sealed, so no further finishing is required before use. The surface can be refreshed with food-safe oils or lacquers if desired, but the initial seal is sufficient for immediate service.
Construction is a single 600x600 mm panel, 38 mm thick, with no cut-outs or pre-drilled holes. The panel can be trimmed on site to fit non-standard spaces or to accommodate hobs, sinks or taps.
Cleaning is limited to wiping with a damp cloth and mild detergent; abrasives or steam should be avoided to preserve the veneer. Regular oiling is not mandatory but will extend the life of the surface in high-traffic areas.
The panel is supplied as a single unit; no variants or matching accessories are listed for this article.
