Floor scales measure large quantities of ingredients, stock or finished dishes without lifting them off the ground. The platform rests on load cells that convert weight into an electrical signal. This signal is processed and shown on the display, giving a reading that remains stable even when the load shifts slightly. The method eliminates the need for smaller, repeated weighings and keeps the workflow on the floor where bulk items are stored or prepared.
To use the SPA300, place the scales on a level surface. Connect the power supply if using mains, or insert the battery if running on portable power. Turn the unit on and wait for the display to show zero. Position the container or tray on the platform and press the tare button to subtract its weight. Add the ingredient until the display reaches the required amount, then remove the load or reset the tare for the next weighing.
The SPA300 is built with a stainless steel platform and a plastic housing for the display and controls. The LCD screen shows the weight in clear digits, while the tare function allows for quick adjustments when using different containers. The scales operate on either battery or mains power, making them suitable for locations without a constant electricity supply.
A maximum capacity of 300 kg allows the scales to handle bulk deliveries such as sacks of flour, crates of vegetables or large cuts of meat. The 100 g increment ensures precision for recipes that require exact measurements, even at high volumes. The unit's weight of 14.5 kg makes it portable enough to move between storage areas or prep stations, while its footprint fits within standard kitchen floor space without obstructing walkways.
The working temperature range accommodates typical kitchen environments, though extreme conditions may affect accuracy. Cleaning involves wiping the platform and housing with a damp cloth to remove spills or debris, while the load cells remain protected beneath the surface. The scales are supplied as a single model with no variants.
