A cast iron table base built to carry professional worktops in a commercial kitchen. The base transfers the weight of heavy equipment, food stocks and constant use through a central column into a broad, stable footprint. Cast iron absorbs vibration and resists deformation under load, giving a solid platform that does not shift or wobble during service. The black painted finish protects the metal from moisture and cleaning chemicals while blending with standard kitchen fittings.
The base arrives as separate parts: a square lower frame, a central column, a top mounting plate and the hardware needed to assemble them. Three adjustable feet at the corners let the operator level the base on uneven floors, ensuring the worktop stays flat and steady. The top mounting plate measures 250 by 250 millimetres and is three millimetres thick; it accepts a worktop up to 800 millimetres in diameter. No screws for securing the worktop are included, so the operator selects fasteners suited to the worktop material and thickness.
Assembly follows a straightforward sequence. The lower frame is placed on the floor and the column is bolted to it. The top mounting plate is then attached to the column, and the three adjustable feet are screwed into the frame corners. Once the base is level, the worktop is positioned on the mounting plate and fastened down. The 520 by 520 millimetre footprint leaves enough clearance for standard kitchen traffic while keeping the unit compact.
The base is constructed from black painted cast iron for the frame and column, with a black painted steel mounting plate. The paint finish is durable and easy to clean, resisting the oils, acids and moisture common in a kitchen. The 14 kilogram weight makes the base manageable for two people to move and position, yet heavy enough to remain stable under load.
The height of 720 millimetres matches standard worktop heights in professional kitchens, placing the surface at a comfortable working level for most staff. The maximum top size of 800 millimetres allows a generous work area without overhanging the base, reducing the risk of tipping.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the painted surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The cast iron and steel parts do not require special treatment, but the adjustable feet should be checked periodically to ensure they remain tight and level. No lubrication or disassembly is needed for routine upkeep.
Variants available at additional cost include alternative heights and colours from the RAL palette, allowing the base to be matched to kitchen decor or specific ergonomic requirements.
