Table Base C-12 for Professional Worktops

A table base provides a stable, adjustable platform for catering worktops, allowing the operator to set the height to match the workflow. The base rests on the floor, distributing the weight of the worktop and whatever is placed on it—food, utensils, appliances—through a central column into a broad foot. Adjustable feet at each corner level the base on uneven floors, preventing wobble and spills. The column and foot are designed to carry the load without bending, while the top mount plate gives a flat, secure surface for the worktop to sit on. Because the base is separate from the worktop, the same base can support different tops—wood, stainless steel, laminate—so long as the top fits within the maximum size the base can carry.

The C-12 base arrives as a flat-pack of parts: the circular foot, the central column, the square top mount plate, mounting screws and five adjustable feet. Assembly is done on site, following the sequence that joins the column to the foot, attaches the top plate, and screws in the feet. Once assembled, the feet are turned to raise or lower each corner until the base is level. The worktop is then placed on the 250 x 250 mm plate and secured with screws, though these are not supplied with the base. The maximum top diameter of 700 mm sets the largest worktop the base can carry safely.

The base and column are made of black painted steel, chosen for its strength and resistance to corrosion in a kitchen environment. The paint finish protects the steel from moisture and cleaning chemicals, while the 3.0 mm thickness of the top plate prevents it from bending under the weight of heavy pots or appliances. The 6 kg weight of the base makes it light enough to move by one person, yet heavy enough to stay in place once the worktop is loaded. The footprint of 430 mm diameter and 76 mm height at the foot leaves a small base area that fits under most worktops without taking up excessive floor space, while the overall height of 730 mm positions the worktop at a comfortable working level for most kitchen tasks.

Cleaning is limited to wiping the painted steel surfaces with a damp cloth to remove dust or spills. The adjustable feet should be checked periodically to ensure they are tight and the base remains level. The base is supplied in black as standard, with options for different heights or colours from the RAL palette available at an additional charge. A 4.0 kg cast iron weight can also be added to increase stability if required.
