A sturdy table base built to support professional worktops in catering kitchens, canteens and food-preparation areas. The C-44/101 provides a rigid, level platform that carries the weight of heavy equipment, bulk ingredients or plated dishes without sagging or shifting during service.
The base stands on four adjustable feet that compensate for uneven floors, allowing the operator to set the worktop at a consistent height across the kitchen. Each foot threads into the steel frame, so the base can be raised or lowered in small increments until the top is perfectly level. This adjustment is essential in commercial kitchens where multiple workstations must align for efficient workflow and safe transfer of hot or heavy items.
Assembly is organised in stages: the square base plate is bolted to the central column, the top mounting plate is fixed to the column, and the four feet are threaded into the corners of the base. The mounting plate measures 250 x 250 mm and is 3.0 mm thick, giving a secure surface for the worktop to rest on. Once assembled, the base supports worktops up to 800 x 800 mm, allowing flexibility in worktop material and shape while keeping the unit stable.
The entire structure is fabricated from black painted steel, chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to corrosion in humid kitchen environments. The paint finish is applied to the base, column and mounting plate, protecting the metal from moisture and cleaning chemicals. The 16 kg weight keeps the base stable under load while still allowing two people to move it into position without machinery.
Controls are limited to the four adjustable feet, each of which is turned by hand to raise or lower that corner of the base. No electrical or mechanical components are present, so the base requires no power supply and has no moving parts that could fail during service.
The footprint of 450 x 450 mm means the base occupies minimal floor space, leaving room for under-counter storage or movement between workstations. The 1100 mm height is standardised for standing work, matching the height of most commercial hobs, sinks and prep tables so that staff can slide items across without lifting.
Cleaning is straightforward: the painted steel surfaces can be wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and the adjustable feet can be removed for thorough cleaning if debris accumulates around the threads. The absence of seams or crevices reduces the risk of trapped food particles or grease.
Variants are available for an additional charge: the base can be ordered in different heights or in any RAL colour to match kitchen decor or brand standards.
The C-44/101 is listed in the catalogue under table bases and support structures for professional catering equipment.
