Table Base C-44 for Professional Worktops

A sturdy table base holds professional worktops level and at a comfortable working height without legs that intrude into floor space. The C-44 base uses a central column to transfer the load of heavy trays, mixers or bain-maries straight down to four adjustable feet. This design leaves the area beneath the top clear for staff to stand close, reducing reaching and bending during service.

The base arrives as a flat-pack of black painted steel parts: a square ground plate, a vertical column, a top mounting plate and the hardware needed to assemble them. Four threaded feet screw into the corners of the ground plate, allowing the operator to level the base on uneven floors or to raise it slightly above wet surfaces. Once assembled, the column stands 730 mm high, placing the mounting plate at standard worktop height for standing tasks.

Assembly begins by attaching the column to the ground plate. The top mounting plate then bolts to the upper end of the column. Each foot is adjusted in turn until the base is stable and the mounting plate is horizontal. A worktop up to 800 mm square is placed on the mounting plate and secured with separate screws that are not supplied with the base. The 250 mm square mounting plate, 3 mm thick, provides a solid platform for the top while keeping the footprint of the base itself to 450 mm square, so it occupies minimal floor space in a busy kitchen.

The black painted steel construction resists knocks and spills common in professional kitchens. The paint finish simplifies cleaning; a damp cloth removes most marks without damaging the surface. The adjustable feet should be checked periodically to ensure the base remains level, especially if the floor beneath is frequently washed or subject to vibration from nearby equipment.

The C-44 base is available in alternative heights and colours from the RAL palette at an additional charge. It is designed for self-assembly and does not include screws for attaching the worktop.
