A sturdy table base designed to support catering worktops up to 700 mm in diameter, providing a stable platform for food preparation, plating or small equipment in professional kitchens. The base relies on a central steel column that transfers the weight of the worktop and any load directly to the floor. Four adjustable feet at the corners level the unit on uneven surfaces, preventing wobble and ensuring the worktop stays perfectly horizontal. The feet also protect the floor from scratches and allow the base to be moved without lifting the entire assembly. Assembly begins with the circular base plate, which is placed on the floor. The column is bolted to the plate, then the top mounting plate is fixed to the column. The worktop is positioned on the mounting plate and secured with separate screws, which are not included in the set. Once assembled, the base stands 1100 mm high, placing the worktop at a comfortable working height for standing staff. The base is constructed from black painted steel throughout, chosen for its strength and resistance to corrosion in a kitchen environment. The top mounting plate measures 250 x 250 mm with a 3.0 mm thickness, providing a secure surface for the worktop. The entire unit weighs 12 kg, making it light enough to manoeuvre into position before the worktop is added. Adjustable feet allow fine tuning of the height and level, while the black painted finish blends with most kitchen colour schemes. The base is supplied as a flat-pack for self-assembly, with all necessary parts and mounting screws included except those required to attach the worktop itself. The footprint of 450 mm diameter means the base occupies minimal floor space, leaving room for staff to move around. A maximum worktop diameter of 700 mm balances surface area with stability, ensuring the table remains steady under typical kitchen loads. Cleaning involves wiping the painted steel surfaces with a damp cloth to remove dust or spills. When the kitchen floor settles or spills shift the weight, the five steel feet let you restore a steady, wobble-free surface without lifting the worktop. Variants available include different heights and colours from the RAL palette, allowing the base to match specific kitchen designs or ergonomic requirements. The base is categorised under table supports and worktop accessories in the professional catering equipment catalogue.
