A table base built to support round worktops up to 900 mm across, keeping the surface steady for food preparation, plating or service. The central column transfers the load of the top and whatever rests on it down to a wide circular foot, spreading the weight so the unit stays level on uneven floors. Chrome-plated steel gives the column a smooth, hygienic finish that resists corrosion and wipes clean quickly between shifts.
The base arrives in parts for self-assembly: a circular foot, a vertical column, a square mounting plate and the necessary screws. The operator fits the column into the foot, secures the plate to the top of the column, then positions the worktop on the plate and marks the fixing points. Because the plate is 250 mm square and 3 mm thick, it provides a stable platform for most commercial tops without flexing. The foot itself is made from steel 1.4 or 2 mm thick, depending on the variant, and its 600 mm diameter ensures the base does not tip when the worktop is fully loaded.
Assembly starts by sliding the column into the foot and tightening the fixing screws. The mounting plate is then attached to the top of the column, again with screws. Once the plate is secure, the worktop is placed on it, centred, and the fixing points are marked through the plate's holes. After drilling, the top is screwed down, completing the installation. No tools beyond a drill and screwdriver are required, and the process takes less than half an hour in a typical kitchen.
The base is designed to accept tops up to 900 mm in diameter, making it suitable for prep stations, plating areas or small service counters. Its 730 mm height matches standard worktop heights in professional kitchens, ensuring comfortable use for staff. The 7 kg weight allows one person to move the base into position before assembly, while the compact footprint of 600 mm diameter leaves enough floor space for staff to work around it.
Cleaning is straightforward: the chrome-plated column and painted steel plate can be wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The circular foot, with its smooth edges, does not trap food debris, so a quick pass with a cloth is usually enough to keep it presentable. For deeper cleaning, the base can be disassembled by removing the screws, though this is rarely necessary in daily use.
Variants include different heights, colours from the RAL palette, a 4 kg cast iron weight for additional stability, and a round aluminium adapter for mounting glass tops. The base does not include screws for fixing the worktop, so these must be sourced separately to match the top material.
The catalogue places this product in the worktop support section, alongside bases for square and rectangular tops.
