Tabletop in Melamine 38 mm.
- : BHS-HoReCa
- Article number: 3G-TablePortoMelamine38
A melamine-topped worktable built for the demands of a professional kitchen. The Table Porto provides a rigid, hygienic surface that resists scratches, stains and moisture without the weight of solid wood or stone.
Melamine is a resin-impregnated paper fused under heat and pressure to a substrate—here a 38 mm thick board. The result is a seamless, non-porous sheet that does not warp, swell or harbour bacteria. It stays flat under repeated cleaning and withstands the knocks of daily service without chipping or denting.
The operator simply wheels the table into position, locks the castors if fitted, and uses the flat top for prep, plating or holding equipment. A 720 mm height matches standard kitchen work surfaces, so the table integrates with existing counters, sinks and hobs without awkward steps or reaches.
The frame is powder-coated steel for strength and corrosion resistance. Four legs support the top evenly, preventing sag or wobble under heavy loads. No tools are needed to assemble or move the unit; the design keeps the worktop level and stable once in place.
Controls are limited to the choice of size: 60×60 cm, 70×70 cm or 80×80 cm. Each size gives a clear square footprint that fits neatly into kitchen layouts. The 720 mm height remains constant, ensuring the work surface aligns with adjacent counters and equipment.
A 38 mm melamine top provides a thick, durable layer that resists cuts from knives and impact from pots. The material does not require sealing or oiling, so upkeep is limited to wiping with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The steel frame can be cleaned with the same solution, avoiding abrasives that could damage the powder coating.
Available in three square sizes, the Table Porto adapts to different kitchen spaces and workflows. The smallest 60×60 cm unit suits tight corners or mobile stations, while the 80×80 cm version offers a generous work area for bulk prep or plating.
The product is listed in the BHS catering furniture catalogue under worktables and prep surfaces.
