A chair built for the rhythm of a busy dining room, where seating must be ready in minutes and stored just as fast. The TEXAS 0390 uses a powder-coated steel frame to carry the load, while the seat and backrest are shaped from ash plywood. The wood grain remains visible and tactile, giving the chair a surface that is warm to the touch and easy to clean. The frame profile is 2 mm thick, chosen for its resistance to knocks and scratches that come with daily use. Stacking is the key principle. Each chair locks onto the one below it, creating a stable column that can rise to four chairs high. This method frees floor space when service ends, turning a row of chairs into a single footprint. The same design keeps the chairs steady while they are stacked, so they do not slide or topple when moved. The sequence is simple: lift the chair by the backrest, tilt it slightly forward, and lower it onto the next chair until the legs click into place. To unstack, reverse the motion. The armrests, when fitted, remain clear of the stack, so they do not interfere with the sequence. Construction is steel and polywood. The steel frame is powder-coated in silver, while the seat and backrest are natural ash plywood. The armrests, available as an option, are also wooden and match the seat colour. Controls are not applicable; the chair is adjusted by the user's posture and the height of the table it is paired with. The maximum load of 160 kg means the chair can be used by the full range of adult diners. The footprint of 470 mm by 520 mm fits within a standard table setting, while the height of 830 mm matches typical restaurant table heights. Stacking to four chairs high allows a set of seating to be cleared from a room in a single trip. The smooth polywood seat wipes clean with a damp cloth, while the powder-coated steel frame resists kitchen splashes and grease without staining. The steel frame can be wiped with a damp cloth; the powder coating resists moisture and detergents. The ash plywood seat and backrest are sealed, so spills do not soak in, but they should not be soaked or scrubbed with abrasives. The armrests, if present, are cleaned the same way as the seat. Variants include the base model without armrests and the version with stackable wooden armrests. The TEXAS 0390 is listed in the BHS seating catalogue under stackable chairs for dining and event use.
