A stackable chair built for the demands of professional catering, banqueting and conference service. The TEXAS TAP BL model uses a steel frame to carry an upholstered seat and backrest, combining strength with comfort for guests and staff alike.

Chairs of this type rely on a rigid metal frame to support the weight of seated users. The frame distributes the load through the legs to the floor, while the upholstery cushions the contact points and reduces pressure on the body. Stacking is achieved by nesting the legs of one chair into the seat of the next, allowing up to four chairs to be stored in the same footprint as a single unit. This method keeps storage compact and speeds table clearance between events.

To use, the operator lifts the chair by the backrest or seat edge, carries it to the required position, and lowers it gently to the floor. When the event ends, chairs are lifted again, aligned so the legs slot into the seat below, and stacked in groups of four. The stack is then moved on a trolley or by hand to the storage area.

The frame is made of steel, finished in black. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a durable fabric chosen for resistance to wear and staining. The overall dimensions of 470 mm depth, 520 mm width and 830 mm height give a stable base while allowing comfortable seating for most adults. A maximum load of 160 kg ensures the chair can accommodate a wide range of users without risk of damage.

Controls are not applicable; the chair is a static piece of furniture. The stated specifications determine its use: the 160 kg load capacity opens it to all but the heaviest users, the 470 mm depth and 520 mm width set the space it occupies at each place setting, and the 830 mm height positions the backrest at a standard dining level. The black colour and steel construction suit environments where durability and ease of cleaning are priorities.

Cleaning follows from the materials: the fabric upholstery is wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding soaking to prevent water damage. The steel frame is wiped with a damp cloth to remove fingerprints and spills. Stacking four chairs at a time reduces the storage footprint and protects the upholstery from dust and accidental knocks.

The TEXAS TAP BL is one variant in the TEXAS range; other colours and finishes may be available through consultation with the BHS team.

The chair is catalogued under seating for professional catering and hospitality environments.
