Danube DPR-10 BASIC EM III Tumble Dryer for Professional Laundries

A tumble dryer built for continuous use in commercial laundries and self-service laundrettes, the Danube DPR-10 BASIC EM III removes moisture by circulating heated air through a rotating drum. The drum turns on a horizontal axis, lifting and dropping the load so every item is exposed to the warm airflow. This constant movement prevents clumping, speeds evaporation and shortens drying cycles compared with static methods. An axial fan draws air across electric heating elements, raising its temperature before it enters the drum. The same fan then pulls the moisture-laden air out through a lint filter, completing the circuit. Because the air is heated only while the drum is turning, the process is energy-efficient and the load finishes evenly dry without overheating delicate fabrics.

Loading begins with the sturdy aluminium door swung open. Up to 10 kg of damp laundry is placed inside the drum, whose zinc-coated steel construction resists corrosion and wear. The door is closed and the EM electronic control panel is used to set the desired drying time and temperature. Once the programme is started, the drum rotates continuously while the heating elements and fan maintain the selected temperature. A Cool Down phase at the end of the cycle circulates unheated air to lower the load temperature before unloading. The operator monitors progress through the transparent door panel and removes the dry laundry when the cycle completes.

The cabinet is constructed from powder-coated steel panels that form a rigid, corrosion-resistant enclosure. Inside, the drum and fan assembly are mounted on a steel chassis that also supports the control panel and lint filter drawer. The filter is positioned at the front for quick access; pulling it out removes accumulated lint, which must be cleared after each cycle to maintain airflow and efficiency. The entire unit stands on adjustable feet that level it on uneven floors and can be bolted to the floor or stacked above a compatible Danube WPR-series washing machine to save space.

A 4.92 kW power rating indicates the load this dryer places on the electrical supply. It requires a three-phase circuit, either 400 V or 230 V, and can be switched between the two voltages without internal modification. The 10 kg capacity refers to the maximum dry weight of laundry the drum can hold per cycle, while the 200 L volume describes the internal space available. The 93 kg weight means the unit must be moved with a pallet truck or similar equipment, and the 690 x 775 x 1056 mm footprint determines the floor space it occupies. The 480 mm drum diameter sets the maximum size of individual items that can be dried without tangling.

Cleaning involves removing the lint filter after every cycle and washing it under running water. The drum and interior surfaces should be wiped down weekly to remove detergent residue and lint build-up. The door seal should be checked periodically for wear and cleaned to prevent air leaks. No lubrication is required, as the drum and fan bearings are sealed for life.

This model is the electric-heated version of the DPR-10 BASIC series. A gas-heated variant is available for sites with a natural gas supply. Both versions share the same dimensions, capacity and control system, allowing operators to choose the energy source that best suits their facility.
