A professional electric stove built for the demands of marine catering, the LOTUS CF4-68ETX combines a four-plate hob with a static or multifunction electric oven in a single unit. The hob uses both cast iron and ceramic radiant plates to deliver direct heat to pots and pans, while the oven circulates hot air around the cavity to cook evenly without a fan. This dual approach gives the operator control over both rapid stovetop searing and steady oven roasting or baking, essential for service at sea where space and power are tightly managed.

The hob is organised with two cast iron round plates and two ceramic radiant plates. Each cast iron plate is sealed with a steel border to contain spills and fitted with a seven-position switch and temperature limiter, allowing the chef to set the heat from low simmer to full boil. The ceramic plates use radiant elements beneath a smooth glass surface, heating quickly and displaying residual heat with warning lights to prevent accidental burns. Below the hob, the oven cavity offers a temperature range from 50 to 300 °C, adjustable via a dedicated control, making it suitable for everything from gentle proofing to high-temperature roasting.

Operation begins by selecting the required hob plate or oven function using the waterproof knobs on the front panel. The cast iron plates are set to the desired heat level, while the ceramic plates activate with a single touch and glow red when hot. The oven is preheated to the target temperature, monitored by an indicator light. Once ready, trays or pots are loaded onto the hob or into the oven, and the cooking process is supervised via the control panel. After use, the hob plates are switched off and allowed to cool, while the oven door is opened only when the interior has dropped to a safe temperature.

The unit is fabricated from 18/10 CrNi stainless steel, including a 1 mm thick worktop with rounded edges and a rear splashback to protect the wall. Chromed details add corrosion resistance, critical in a marine environment. The front control panel is designed for easy removal, giving access to all serviceable parts without disassembling the entire stove. Adjustable flanged feet allow the unit to be levelled on uneven decks, and rolling racks are included to secure pots during rough seas.

The 9.62 kW power rating requires a 400 V three-phase supply, standard on commercial vessels, and the 91 kg weight indicates a robust, fixed installation rather than a portable appliance. The 800 mm width and 600 mm depth fit within the footprint of a standard marine galley workstation, while the 900 mm height allows the oven to be loaded at waist level. The oven cavity measures 640x420x350 mm, accommodating a 53x32.5 cm GN 1/1 grid supplied with the unit.

Cleaning is straightforward due to the smooth stainless steel surfaces and removable control panel. The hob plates can be wiped down once cool, and the oven interior is accessed by removing the grid and wiping the walls and floor. The ceramic plates require only a damp cloth to remove spills, while the cast iron plates may need occasional seasoning to maintain their non-stick properties. The waterproof knobs prevent moisture ingress during cleaning, and the rounded edges reduce the risk of trapped food debris.

The CF4-68ETX is available in a single model, designed specifically for marine use with corrosion-resistant materials and secure fittings. It is categorised under professional electric stoves with ovens, suitable for ships, offshore platforms and other mobile catering environments where stability and durability are paramount.
