Electic Fry-top smooth griddle 355x550 mm
A fry-top griddle heats a solid metal plate from beneath, transferring energy directly into the food without oil. The plate's even surface sears, grills and fries simultaneously, while the heat spreads across the metal to prevent cold spots. Electric elements under the plate respond quickly to the thermostat, holding the set temperature within a narrow band so that batches cook at the same rate and the operator can move from one task to the next without adjusting the dial.
The operator places the food directly on the plate, sets the thermostat between 50 °C and 300 °C, and starts the unit. A safety thermostat cuts power if the temperature rises beyond the control range. Once the plate reaches the set point, the indicator light confirms readiness. The food is turned or moved as needed, then removed when done. The plate stays hot, so the next batch can be loaded immediately.
The FTLD-64ETX is built from CrNi 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish. The worktop is 1.5 mm thick, reinforced with chromed details. The griddle plate is available in three versions: smooth, ribbed or a 50/50 split between the two. The standard plate is FE430B steel; the chrome version is FE510C steel. A double thermostat provides both operating control and safety cut-out.
The 4.5 kW power rating requires a 400 V three-phase circuit, the standard supply for commercial catering equipment. The 400 mm depth and 600 mm width fit a standard worktop module, while the 220 mm height allows under-counter storage or wall mounting. The 30 kg weight permits two people to lift the unit for cleaning or repositioning.
Cleaning involves scraping the plate while still warm, then wiping with a damp cloth once cooled. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion and staining, and the satin finish hides minor scratches. The thermostats and elements are sealed beneath the plate, so only the exterior surfaces need regular attention.
The FTLD-64ETX is offered with a choice of smooth, ribbed or 50/50 griddle plates, and either a standard or chrome finish. The catalogue lists it under electric fry-tops for professional kitchens.
