Electic Fry-top smooth griddle 360x680mm
An electric fry-top griddle heats a solid metal plate from below, spreading heat evenly across the surface without open flames. The plate becomes the cooking interface, transferring heat directly into food for consistent searing, grilling or frying. Because the heat is radiant and conductive, the operator can control the temperature precisely, adjusting the thermostat to suit delicate fish or robust meats without scorching or uneven cooking. The absence of a flame also removes the risk of flare-ups, making the appliance safer for high-volume service in professional kitchens.
The sequence begins by switching the unit on and setting the double thermostat to the desired temperature between 50 and 300 °C. Once the plate reaches the set point, the operator loads the food directly onto the surface, which may be smooth, ribbed or a combination of both. The ribbed side leaves characteristic grill marks, while the smooth side provides a flat searing area. After cooking, the food is removed and the plate can be scraped clean while still warm, ready for the next batch.
Construction is fabricated from 18/10 CrNi AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin polish finish, giving a durable, corrosion-resistant surface that withstands daily cleaning. The worktop is 1.5 mm thick, supporting heavy loads without warping, and chromed details add contrast and protection. The plate itself is available in either FE430B steel for the standard version or FE510C steel for the chrome-plated option, each chosen for rapid heat-up and high durability under continuous use.
Controls consist of a double thermostat: one for operating temperature and one for safety, preventing overheating. The temperature control spans 50 to 300 °C, covering everything from gentle warming to high-heat searing.
The 7.5 kW power rating indicates a substantial electrical load, requiring a 400 V three-phase supply, which is standard in commercial kitchens. The 400x800x220 mm footprint fits on most worktops or counter units, while the 45 kg weight ensures stability without being too heavy to move with a trolley. The fixing system allows the unit to be secured in place, preventing accidental shifting during service.
Cleaning follows from the materials: the stainless steel surface can be scraped and wiped while warm, then washed with mild detergent and water. The satin finish resists fingerprints and smudges, and the absence of crevices reduces trapped food particles. The chromed details require only a damp cloth to maintain their appearance.
Variants include smooth, ribbed or a 50/50 split plate, and either a standard or chrome-plated finish, allowing the operator to choose the surface that best suits the menu.
The product is catalogued under professional electric griddles and fry-tops for commercial catering equipment.
