Professional electric griddle with a 50/50 smooth and ribbed cooking surface and an open neutral cabinet, designed for intensive use in professional kitchens. The durable AISI 304 stainless steel construction ensures even heating, long service life and easy daily cleaning.
A smooth electric fry-top griddle heats a solid steel plate to sear, grill and hold food evenly across its surface. The plate sits above electric elements that convert current into radiant heat, eliminating open flames and giving precise control over the cooking zone. Because the heat spreads through the metal, the entire plate reaches the set temperature without hot or cold spots, allowing continuous batches of burgers, steaks, pancakes or vegetables to cook at the same rate. The operator can adjust the temperature from gentle warming to high searing, and the plate retains heat long enough to finish service without power cycling on and off.
To use the griddle, the operator first sets the double thermostat to the desired temperature between 50 °C and 300 °C. The unit is then switched on and allowed to pre-heat until the plate reaches the set point. Food is placed directly onto the smooth surface, where it cooks through contact with the hot metal. Excess fat and juices drain into removable grease collection containers at the front, keeping the worktop clear. When service is complete, the griddle is switched off and the plate left to cool before cleaning.
The FTLR-712ET is built from CrNi 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish. The 2 mm thick worktop has rounded edges and a rear splashback to contain spills. Chrome-plated components and control knobs rated IPX5 resist water ingress during cleaning. The open base includes a storage shelf, and adjustable feet allow the unit to be levelled on uneven floors. The front control panel lifts off to expose all serviceable parts for maintenance.
The 14.8 kW power rating requires a 400 V three-phase supply with neutral, drawing a substantial load that must be accounted for in kitchen circuit planning. The 1200 mm width provides a large continuous cooking area, while the 150 kg weight means the unit is moved with a trolley or pallet jack rather than by hand. The 50–300 °C temperature range covers everything from gentle warming to high-temperature searing, making the griddle suitable for a full menu of grilled and fried items.
Cleaning involves scraping the plate while still warm, then wiping it down once cool. The grease containers are removed and emptied after each service. The IPX5-rated control knobs can be wiped with a damp cloth, and the stainless steel surfaces are resistant to corrosion from water and cleaning chemicals.
The FTLR-712ET is available with either an FE430B steel cooking plate or an FE510C chrome-plated steel plate. The neutral cabinet beneath the griddle is supplied without doors, allowing open storage or the addition of optional doors if required.
