Electric cooktop with 4 cast iron hotplates, featuring a stainless steel construction and a locking system.
An electric hob that transfers heat through cast-iron plates, each with a steel rim to contain spills and concentrate the energy directly into the base of pans. The plates are heated by embedded elements; the operator selects one of seven power settings to control the rate of heat delivery. Because the plates retain heat, they continue to cook even after the element is switched off, smoothing out temperature fluctuations during prolonged use.
The hob is installed on a worktop and connected to a three-phase 400/440 V supply. The operator places pans on the four circular plates, sets the desired power level for each plate using the water-resistant control knobs, and starts cooking. A built-in temperature limiter prevents the plates from exceeding safe operating limits. Once cooking is finished, the plates cool gradually; the residual heat is a normal part of the process and is managed by the operator.
The construction is 1 mm thick stainless steel grade 18/10 (AISI 304), satin-finished with Scotch-Brite for durability and ease of cleaning. The edges are rounded, and the front includes a splash guard to protect the surrounding work surface. Chrome-plated details and adjustable legs ensure stability on uneven floors. A fixing system secures the hob to the worktop, while pan supports on the plates keep cookware steady during use.
Each 3.5 kW plate draws power independently, allowing the hob to handle a total load of 14 kW. The three-phase 400/440 V connection requires a dedicated circuit capable of supplying the full 14 kW without overloading. The 800 mm width fits standard 90 cm worktop cut-outs, while the 68 kg weight indicates the need for sturdy support and careful handling during installation.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding abrasive pads that could damage the satin finish. The cast-iron plates should be cleaned after each use to prevent residue build-up, and the splash guard removed for thorough cleaning when necessary. The control knobs, rated IPX5 for water resistance, can be wiped down but should not be submerged.
The hob is designed for professional kitchens and is supplied as a single unit with four cast-iron plates.
