Professional electric range with square cast iron hotplates, designed for intensive use in professional kitchens. The durable AISI 304 stainless steel construction and 7-position power control ensure precise cooking and safe operation.
An electric hob heats a solid cast iron plate with an embedded element. The element converts electrical current into heat, which spreads evenly across the thick iron surface. Cast iron holds heat well, so the plate stays hot between loads and recovers quickly when cold pans are placed on it. The steel retaining rim around each plate keeps pans centred and prevents spills from running onto the worktop. The operator places a pan on one of the two square hotplates and turns the corresponding 7-position power regulator. Each position sets a fixed power level, giving steady, repeatable temperatures for frying, simmering or holding. The hob draws current from a 400 V 2N or 230 V 3-phase supply, so it connects to a dedicated circuit in a professional kitchen. The hob is built from 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel, 2 mm thick, with a Scotch-Brite satin finish that resists scratches and fingerprints. Rounded edges and a rear splashback protect the operator and make cleaning easier. Chrome-plated components and IPX5-rated water-resistant knobs withstand splashes and steam. The front control panel lifts off to expose all internal parts for inspection and maintenance. Four adjustable feet level the unit on uneven floors and prevent movement during use. A 5.2 kW total power rating means the hob draws a significant load, so it is installed on its own circuit. The 400 mm depth and 705 mm width fit a standard worktop cut-out, while the 280 mm height allows comfortable use without stooping. The 30 kg weight requires two people to lift, so it is positioned before final connection. Each 2.6 kW hotplate delivers enough heat for rapid boiling or searing, and the square shape accommodates square or round pans up to the size of the plate. The satin-finished stainless steel worktop shrugs off splashes and steam so the hob stays looking new after every service. The cast iron plates are cleaned after cooling, using a scraper or brush to remove food residue. The retaining rims lift off for thorough cleaning. The control panel is removed periodically to access internal components and check connections. The adjustable feet are checked for tightness and level during routine maintenance. The PCQT-74ET is a freestanding electric hob for professional kitchens, listed under countertop cooking equipment.
