Professional stainless steel electric grill
A smooth fry top grill transfers heat directly from a flat stainless steel plate to food, eliminating hot spots and allowing precise control over cooking temperatures. The absence of grates or ridges keeps food in constant contact with the heat source, speeding up cooking while retaining moisture and texture.
The operator positions the grill on a stable worktop, connects it to a three-phase 400/440 V supply and switches it on. Once the plate reaches the set temperature, ingredients are placed directly onto the smooth surface. The integrated water trough beneath the plate catches drippings and steam, which can be drained or left to evaporate, helping to regulate humidity and prevent flare-ups. A stainless steel grill rest lifts away for cleaning or to create extra workspace. Adjustable legs ensure the unit sits level on uneven floors, and the rear splash guard protects walls and backsplashes from grease and moisture.
The grill is built from 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel, with a 1 mm thick satin-finish worktop and rounded edges for safety. Chrome-plated components and a rear protective panel resist corrosion and simplify cleaning. IPX5-rated waterproof control knobs allow safe wipe-downs without risking electrical damage.
Controls consist of waterproof knobs that set the temperature of the heating elements beneath the plate. The special heat-reflective system behind the elements directs heat upward, optimising energy use and maintaining consistent cooking temperatures across the entire surface.
A 6 kW power rating requires a dedicated three-phase circuit, which is standard in professional kitchens but may need verification for smaller or older installations. The 400x705x280 mm footprint fits on most commercial worktops, while the 57 kg weight ensures stability during use but may require two people to move. The voltage range of 400/440 V-3-50/60 Hz allows operation across European power grids without adjustment.
Cleaning involves wiping the smooth plate with a scraper or cloth while still warm, then removing the front control panel to access internal components. The water trough empties and rinses separately, and the grill rest lifts out for thorough scrubbing. The satin finish hides minor scratches, reducing the need for frequent polishing.
The CWT-74ETX is a single model with no variants. It is categorised under professional electric grills and smooth fry tops in the LOTUS catalogue.
