Professional electric griddle with a smooth cooking surface and an open neutral cabinet, designed for intensive use in professional kitchens. The durable AISI 304 stainless steel construction ensures even heating, long service life and easy daily cleaning.
An electryc fry-top heats a solid metal plate with embedded electric elements, transferring heat evenly across the surface for searing, grilling and shallow frying without open flames. The smooth plate spreads the heat without hot spots, letting the operator move food freely and cook delicate items that would stick or fall through a gridded surface.
The operator sets the desired temperature on the double thermostat, which maintains the plate between 50 and 300 °C. Once the plate reaches the set point, ingredients are placed directly on the surface. The chrome-plated or steel cooking plate conducts heat rapidly, browning proteins and caramelising vegetables while retaining moisture inside. A rear splashback catches grease and steam, keeping the surrounding worktop clean. Removable grease collection containers beneath the plate gather excess fat, reducing flare-ups and simplifying cleaning.
The unit stands on an open base with a storage shelf below the cooking plate. Adjustable feet level the fry-top on uneven floors, while the 120 mm depth leaves room for a standard worktop or counter installation. The front control panel lifts away to expose all serviceable components, allowing quick maintenance without moving the heavy unit.
Construction is CrNi 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a 2 mm thick worktop and Scotch-Brite satin finish. Rounded edges prevent snagging, and chrome-plated components resist corrosion. IPX5-rated control knobs protect against water jets, ensuring safe operation near sinks and taps.
The 14.8 kW power rating requires a 400 or 440 V 3-phase supply, typical for professional kitchen circuits. The 150 kg weight means the unit is moved with a trolley or pallet jack, not carried by hand. The 120x705x900 mm footprint fits standard kitchen layouts, leaving clearance for ventilation and adjacent equipment.
Cleaning involves scraping the plate while still warm, then wiping with a damp cloth. The grease collection containers slide out for emptying and washing. The front panel is removed periodically to access internal components, and the chrome-plated or steel plate may be seasoned to maintain a non-stick surface.
The FTL-712ETX is supplied with either an FE430B steel cooking plate or an FE510C chrome-plated steel plate. Doors for the open base are not included.
