| NOTES | Hard chrome coating on a steel plate. Model with POLISHED CHROME available (FTL-74ETSS) |
Professional electric griddle with a smooth cooking surface and an open neutral cabinet, designed for intensive use in professional kitchens. The durable AISI 304 stainless steel construction ensures even heating, long service life and easy daily cleaning.
A smooth electric fry-top griddle heats a solid steel plate to sear, grill or fry food without open flames. The plate conducts heat evenly across its surface, eliminating hot spots that burn one side while leaving the other undercooked. A thermostat cycles the element to hold the set temperature, so batches cook consistently from start to finish. The hard chrome coating reduces sticking and cuts cleaning time, while the thick steel base retains heat for rapid recovery when cold food is added. The operator sets the desired temperature on the double thermostat, then preheats the plate. Food is placed directly on the smooth surface; no basket or tray is needed. Grease and juices run off the sloped edges into removable collection containers beneath the front lip. A rear splashback keeps walls clean, and the open cabinet below provides a storage shelf for tools or ingredients. The chrome-plated steel plate stays perfectly flat on any kitchen surface, keeping oil evenly distributed for consistent searing across every batch of burgers or vegetables. The unit is built from CrNi 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish. The 2 mm thick worktop has rounded edges for safety, and the control knobs are IPX5 water-resistant. The cooking plate is either FE430B steel or FE510C chrome-plated steel, depending on the model. A removable front control panel gives access to all serviceable components. The 5.55 kW power rating indicates the load on the electrical supply; a 230 V single-phase or 400 V three-phase circuit is required. The 400 mm width fits standard worktop depths, while the 705 mm length provides ample cooking space without overcrowding. At 64 kg, the unit is moved with a trolley but remains stable once positioned. The temperature range of 50–300 °C covers everything from gentle warming to high-heat searing. Cleaning involves wiping the chrome plate with a soft cloth after each service, emptying the grease containers, and periodically removing the front panel to access internal parts. The hard chrome surface resists scratches and corrosion, extending the plate's lifespan. Two versions are available: the standard FTL-74ETS with hard chrome coating, and the FTL-74ETSS with polished chrome for a reflective finish. The product is listed in the professional catering equipment catalogue under electric griddles and fry-tops.
