A deep fryer heats a measured volume of oil to a consistent temperature, allowing food to be submerged in a wire basket. The hot oil transfers heat rapidly to the surface of the food, sealing it and cooking the interior evenly. A thermostat cycles the heating element to maintain the set temperature, while a second safety thermostat cuts power if the oil overheats. This method produces crisp, golden results with minimal oil absorption when the oil is kept clean and at the correct level. The operator fills the 6 litre tank with fresh oil, sets the operating thermostat to the required temperature and switches the fryer on. Once the oil reaches temperature, the basket is loaded with food and lowered into the oil. A lift-up rest holds the basket clear of the oil while the food drains. When the food is cooked, the basket is removed, the oil is left to cool and the front drain valve empties the tank for cleaning or oil change. The fryer is fabricated from 18/10 CrNi AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin polish finish. The 1 mm thick worktop has rounded edges and a rear splashback. Chromed details include the basket rest and lid handles. A removable resistance box allows the heating element to be lifted out for thorough cleaning. The stainless-steel feet let you steady the fryer on a sloping kitchen floor so hot oil stays level and fries evenly. Controls consist of a main thermostat for setting the oil temperature and a secondary safety thermostat that prevents overheating. A power switch starts and stops the heating cycle. The 3 kW power rating requires a dedicated 13 A single-phase circuit. The 230 V 50 Hz voltage matches standard UK commercial supplies. The 6 litre oil capacity suits small to medium batches of chips, fish, chicken or doughnuts. The 13 kg weight allows the fryer to be moved by one person, while the 300 × 510 × 250 mm footprint fits on most worktops. Cleaning involves draining the oil through the front valve, removing the basket and lid, lifting out the resistance box and wiping down the stainless steel surfaces. The rounded edges and satin finish reduce food adhesion and make wiping easier. The fryer is available in a single-tank model and a double-tank version that shares the same footprint and controls.
