| NOTES | Ribbed griddle |
Professional electric griddle with a ribbed cooking surface and an open neutral cabinet, designed for intensive use in professional kitchens. The durable AISI 304 stainless steel construction ensures even heating, long service life and easy daily cleaning.
A ribbed electric griddle heats a solid steel plate from beneath with electric elements, concentrating heat along the raised ridges to sear food quickly while allowing fat to drain into the valleys. This method gives pronounced grill marks and even cooking across the entire surface without the need for an open flame or gas supply. The operator sets the desired temperature on the double thermostat, then preheats the plate to the chosen setting between 50 and 300 °C. Food is placed directly onto the ribbed surface, where the ridges create contact points that brown and caramelise. As fat renders, it flows into the channels and collects in the removable grease containers positioned beneath the front edge. The open base allows air to circulate, helping the plate maintain a steady temperature, while the storage shelf below holds trays or utensils within reach. The griddle is constructed from CrNi 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish, including a 2 mm thick worktop and rounded edges for safety. Chrome-plated components and a rear splashback protect the surrounding area from splashes. IPX5-rated water-resistant control knobs are fitted to the front panel, which can be removed for access to all serviceable parts. Adjustable feet let the ribbed plate sit dead-level so every burger and steak sears evenly across the entire chrome-plated surface. A 5.55 kW power rating indicates the load on a 400 V 3-phase circuit, suitable for commercial kitchens with appropriate electrical supply. The 600 mm width provides ample cooking space for multiple items at once, while the 78 kg weight ensures stability during use but may require two people to move. The temperature range of 50 to 300 °C accommodates everything from gentle warming to high-heat searing. Cleaning involves removing the grease containers to empty and wash them, wiping the ribbed plate with a scraper and cloth while still warm, and rinsing the splashback and control panel with a damp cloth. The removable front panel allows access to internal components for periodic maintenance. The FTR-76ET is available with either an FE430B steel cooking plate or an FE510C chrome-plated steel cooking plate, both offering rapid heating and high durability. The neutral cabinet beneath the griddle is supplied without doors, leaving the storage shelf open for easy access.
