Professional 50 L gas boiling kettle, designed for preparing soups, broths, sauces, and other dishes in professional kitchens. The durable AISI 304 stainless steel construction and direct heating system ensure fast heat-up and excellent cooking performance.
A direct-fired gas boiling kettle heats water or stock by burning gas beneath a sealed tank, transferring heat through the base without an intermediate medium. The flame from the burner warms the stainless-steel tank evenly, while a thermocouple safety system monitors the pilot light and shuts off the gas if the flame fails. This method delivers rapid, controlled heating for large volumes, making it a staple in professional kitchens where speed and consistency matter.
To operate, fill the 50-litre tank with liquid, close the ergonomic lid, and ignite the burner using the piezo-electric starter. The pilot light remains lit to ensure instant ignition when the main burner is activated. Adjust the gas flow with the control knob to reach the desired temperature, monitored by the built-in thermostat. Once heated, the liquid can be drained through the tap or ladled out as needed. The lid's secure mechanism prevents accidental opening during use, while rounded edges and a satin-finish worktop reduce the risk of spills or damage.
The kettle is constructed entirely from 18/10 chromium-nickel stainless steel, with the inner tank in AISI 304 grade and the base in AISI 316 for enhanced corrosion resistance. A 2 mm thick worktop with rounded edges provides a durable surface for food preparation, while chrome-plated details and a rear protective panel add to its professional finish. IPX5-rated waterproof control handles allow safe operation in wet environments, and adjustable legs ensure stable placement on uneven floors.
The 15.5 kW gas burner draws power from a standard three-phase 230 V electrical supply for ignition and safety systems, while the 0.1 kW auxiliary load covers the pilot light and controls. The 110 kg weight requires a sturdy worktop or stand but contributes to stability during operation. The 800 x 705 x 900 mm footprint fits into most commercial kitchen layouts, with the 40 cm diameter tank offering ample depth for bulk cooking.
Cleaning is straightforward: remove the front control panel to access internal components, and wipe down the stainless-steel surfaces with a non-abrasive cloth. The satin finish resists fingerprints and scratches, while the rounded edges prevent debris from collecting. A conversion kit for LPG or natural gas is included, allowing flexibility in fuel supply without additional parts.
This model, PD50-78G, is designed for professional catering environments, where direct gas heating provides efficiency and precision for large-scale liquid preparation.
