Professional gas lava rock grill, designed for grilling meat, fish, vegetables and other foods in professional kitchens. The lava rocks ensure even heat distribution and deliver authentic grilling results similar to cooking over charcoal.
A professional gas grill that replicates the intense, smoky flavour of charcoal cooking without the ash or uneven heat. The LOTUS CWT-66G uses lava rock positioned above stainless steel burners to absorb and radiate heat evenly across the entire grilling surface. As fat and juices drip onto the hot lava rock, they vaporise, infusing food with a rich, barbecued aroma while preventing flare-ups that can char the outside before the inside is done.
The sequence begins by igniting the burners with the built-in piezoelectric ignition. A pilot flame remains lit, monitored by a thermocouple that automatically shuts off the gas if the flame extinguishes. The operator adjusts the gas valves to control the heat level across the grill, using the IPX5-rated water-resistant knobs. Food is placed directly on the stainless steel grill bars, where the radiant heat from the lava rock sears and cooks it evenly. The rear flue outlet safely channels exhaust gases away from the cooking area, while a large removable tray beneath the burners collects grease and liquids for easy disposal.
Constructed from 18/10 AISI 304 CrNi stainless steel, the unit features a 1 mm thick worktop with rounded edges, a satin Scotch-Brite finish, and chrome-plated components. The rear splashback protects the wall behind the grill, and the front control panel detaches to provide full access to internal parts for maintenance. Adjustable feet ensure a stable, level installation on any worktop, and the grill is supplied with nozzles for both Natural Gas and LPG.
The 8.9 kW power rating indicates the load on the gas supply, suitable for high-output cooking in busy kitchens. The 600x600 mm footprint fits standard worktop spaces, while the 280 mm height allows comfortable use without excessive bending. At 58 kg, the grill is heavy enough to remain stable during use but can be moved with two people or a trolley. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion and staining, and the satin finish reduces visible fingerprints and scratches.
Cleaning involves removing the grease tray and emptying it, wiping down the grill bars and worktop, and brushing the lava rock to remove accumulated residue. The detachable control panel allows access to the burners and internal components for thorough cleaning. The grill's design minimises crevices where grease can collect, and the rounded edges simplify wiping down.
The CWT-66G is configured for professional use with either Natural Gas or LPG, and the supplied nozzles allow conversion between the two. The catalogue places this model in the gas grilling section, under heavy-duty equipment for restaurants, hotels, and catering operations.
