Professional gas lava rock grill, designed for grilling meat, fish, vegetables and other foods in professional kitchens. The lava rocks ensure even heat distribution and deliver authentic grilling results similar to cooking over charcoal.
A smooth stainless steel fry top heated by gas burners beneath a bed of lava stones turns this LOTUS CW-74G grill into a charcoal-style cooking surface without the ash. The stones absorb and radiate heat evenly across the entire 38 cm by 52 cm worktop, giving the same sear and flavour as wood or charcoal while the gas supply keeps the temperature steady and controllable.
The operator lights the pilot flame with a piezo igniter, then opens the gas valve to bring the main burners to life. Each burner is fitted with a thermocouple and safety valve that shut off the gas if the flame fails. Once the stones are hot, food is placed directly on the smooth steel surface or on a grill grid set above it. A rear flue carries smoke and fumes out of the kitchen, while an integrated drip tray beneath the cooking area collects fat and juices for easy removal.
The grill stands on four adjustable legs that level the unit on uneven floors and raise it to a comfortable working height. A stainless steel shelf below the main worktop provides space for tools or ingredients. All external surfaces are made from 1 mm thick 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish, rounded edges and chrome-plated details for durability and ease of cleaning. The control knobs are IPX5-rated for water resistance, allowing safe wipe-downs during service.
The 9 kW power rating draws a steady load from a commercial gas line, suitable for continuous service in a busy kitchen. The 400 mm depth, 705 mm width and 900 mm height fit within a standard worktop run, while the 61 kg weight requires two people or a trolley to move the unit into place. The grill is supplied with nozzles for both natural gas and LPG, so it can be connected to the local supply without additional parts.
Cleaning is organised around removable components: the drip tray slides out, the control panel lifts off to expose internal parts, and the lava stones can be taken out for brushing or replacement. Regular wiping of the steel surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent keeps the worktop in service, while the rear flue should be checked periodically for blockages to maintain proper ventilation.
