Professional induction range with 4 cooking zones and a cabinet. The AISI 304 stainless steel construction and glass ceramic surface ensure durability, rapid heating and efficient everyday operation.
An induction hob transfers energy directly into magnetic cookware, heating only the pan and its contents while the glass surface stays cool to the touch. The process relies on a high-frequency electromagnetic field beneath the ceramic top; when a ferrous pan is placed on the zone, eddy currents circulate inside it, generating heat instantly and precisely where it is needed. Because no flame or element is exposed, the kitchen stays cooler, energy is not wasted heating the air, and response to power changes is almost immediate.
To operate the PCI-98ETX, position the unit on a stable, level worktop and connect it to a 400/440 V three-phase supply. Adjust the retractable legs until the hob is secure and the rear guard panel is flush with the wall or backsplash. Place a magnetic-based pan or WOK on one of the marked zones; the hob will detect the cookware and activate only the corresponding coil. Use the waterproof control knobs to set the desired power level; the induction system ramps up or down without delay, giving the chef direct control over searing, simmering or stir-frying. Safety grids prevent pans from sliding off the surface, and the hob automatically shuts off if no pan is detected for a set interval.
The hob is built from 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish. The 2 mm thick worktop has rounded edges and chrome-plated trim; the rear panel acts as a splash guard. A single end-stop trim piece (TPA-9) is supplied to seal the edge when the hob is installed between other units. Water-resistant control knobs meet IPX5 standards, allowing safe wipe-downs during service.
A 20 kW power rating means the unit draws a substantial current and must be connected to a dedicated three-phase circuit capable of handling the load without voltage drop. The 800 mm width and 900 mm depth fit standard commercial worktops, while the 94 kg weight requires two people to lift and position the hob safely. The glass-ceramic surface is tough but can be scratched by abrasive pads; cleaning is done with a damp cloth and mild detergent after the surface has cooled. All internal components are accessible by removing the front control panel, simplifying maintenance and repairs.
The PCI-98ETX is supplied with one end trim piece and safety grids; no other variants are listed for this model.
