The PC-1EM is a professional electric hot plate with two cooking zones, designed for use in restaurants, cafés, canteens, and other professional kitchens. Its compact design allows the unit to be conveniently placed on a worktop, making optimal use of the available space.
An electric hot plate heats a solid metal surface with embedded electric elements. The elements convert electrical energy into heat, which spreads evenly across the cooking zone. Because the heat is conducted directly into pots and pans, the method is quick and responsive, giving the operator precise control over the cooking temperature. Two separate elements allow different dishes to be prepared at the same time, each at its own setting.
To use the LOTUS PC-1EM, place the unit on a stable, heat-resistant worktop. Plug the power cord into a 230 V socket. Turn the control knob for each burner to the desired setting. The left burner has a higher power rating and reaches operating temperature faster; the right burner is gentler, suited to simmering or holding. Once the burners are hot, place cookware on the zones and begin cooking. Monitor the food and adjust the knobs as needed. When finished, turn both knobs to the off position and unplug the unit.
The body is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion, mechanical knocks and daily wear. The smooth surfaces allow food spills and grease to be wiped away easily, maintaining hygiene standards in a busy kitchen.
Each burner has its own rotary control knob. The left knob adjusts the larger element, the right knob the smaller one. The settings range from low to high, letting the operator match the heat to the cooking task.
A total power rating of 2.5 kW means the unit draws a moderate load from a standard 230 V circuit. The 300 mm depth and 500 mm width fit neatly on most worktops, while the 290 mm height keeps the cooking surface at a comfortable working level. The 11 kg weight allows the plate to be moved by one person when necessary.
Cleaning is straightforward: after the unit has cooled, wipe the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive pads that could scratch the finish. Regular cleaning prevents grease build-up and extends the life of the appliance.
The LOTUS PC-1EM is a single model with two burners; no variants are listed.
