Professional electric range with 4 glass ceramic cooking zones and a neutral cabinet, designed for intensive use in professional kitchens. The durable AISI 304 stainless steel construction ensures even heat distribution, long service life and easy daily cleaning.
An electric ceramic range heats a smooth glass-ceramic surface with radiant elements beneath. The elements glow when energised, transferring heat directly to the base of pots and pans without open flames. Because the surface is flat and the heat spreads evenly, every part of the cooking area reaches the same temperature, eliminating hot spots that can scorch food or leave it undercooked. The ceramic layer also retains heat longer than metal, so the hob stays warm after the elements are switched off, allowing gentle finishing of sauces or keeping dishes warm without extra energy.
To use the PCC-78ETX, place cookware on the ceramic surface above the chosen element. Turn the IPX5-rated water-resistant knob to select the power level; the residual heat indicator lights while the element is on and stays lit until the surface is safe to touch. The chrome-plated pot support grate keeps pans steady during stirring or lifting. Below the hob, the neutral cabinet provides open storage for trays or utensils without doors to obstruct access. Adjustable feet level the unit on uneven floors, ensuring the ceramic surface stays perfectly horizontal for even cooking.
The range is built from 18/10 AISI 304 CrNi stainless steel, chosen for its corrosion resistance and durability in busy kitchens. The 2 mm thick worktop has rounded edges to reduce sharp corners, and the Scotch-Brite satin finish resists fingerprints and scratches. All internal components are accessed by removing the front control panel, simplifying maintenance and repairs.
A 10 kW power rating means the range draws a significant load, requiring a dedicated 400 V 3-phase circuit. This voltage is standard in professional kitchens, allowing the unit to reach full power without overloading a single-phase supply. The 66 kg weight indicates a sturdy, freestanding unit that can be moved with a trolley but is not designed for frequent relocation. The 800 mm width fits standard worktop depths, leaving space for adjacent appliances or prep areas.
Cleaning involves wiping the ceramic surface with a damp cloth once it has cooled; the smooth material prevents food from sticking. The stainless steel exterior is wiped down with a mild detergent, avoiding abrasive pads that could damage the satin finish. The pot support grate lifts off for thorough cleaning, and the control panel can be removed to access internal parts for servicing.
The PCC-78ETX is a freestanding electric ceramic range without doors, designed for integration into a commercial kitchen line-up or as a standalone unit.
