Rolling rack
A boiling unit heats pots and pans directly on its surface, transferring energy from electric elements beneath ceramic glass plates. Radiant heat spreads evenly, allowing precise control over simmering, boiling or frying without open flames. The method keeps the worktop cooler around the plates, reducing accidental burns and making the area easier to clean.
The operator places a pot on one of the four hot plates, selects the heat level with a seven-position switch, and the element warms the ceramic glass. Warning lights show when a plate is still hot after use. Rolling racks at the sides lock pots in place, preventing spills while the unit is moved or during busy service.
The unit is built from CrNi 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish, including a 2 mm thick worktop and chromed details. Cast iron hot plates with steel border seals sit beneath ceramic glass tops, combining durability with responsive heat control. A temperature limiter prevents overheating, protecting both the equipment and the food.
Controls consist of a seven-position switch for each plate, allowing fine adjustment from low simmer to full boil. Warning lights indicate residual heat, so staff know when a plate is safe to touch.
The 10.4 kW power rating requires a 400 V three-phase supply, the standard for heavy-duty catering equipment. The 800 mm width fits a standard worktop module, while the 38 kg weight allows two people to lift it into place without specialist equipment. The 50 mm height keeps the unit low enough to slide under overhead shelves or extractor hoods.
Cleaning involves wiping the ceramic glass and stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth after the plates have cooled. The Scotch-Brite finish resists fingerprints and minor scratches, while the chromed details protect against corrosion. Rolling racks can be removed for deeper cleaning or to free up space on the worktop.
The PCD-68ETX is a single model with no variants. It is designed for integration into professional catering worktops, using the included fixing system to secure it in place.
