LOTUS PLT-64X Stainless Steel Worktop with Drawer

A stainless steel worktop with an integrated drawer provides a hygienic, durable surface for food preparation while offering organised storage directly beneath the work area. The worktop itself acts as a rigid platform that resists heat, moisture and impact, while the drawer slides smoothly on runners to keep utensils, cloths or small ingredients within reach without cluttering the work surface.

The worktop is formed from a single sheet of stainless steel, pressed and welded to create a seamless surface with rounded edges. This construction prevents liquids from pooling and makes wiping down straightforward. The drawer, also made of stainless steel, sits flush within the frame, secured by a locking system that keeps it closed during movement or when not in use. Adjustable feet at each corner allow the unit to be levelled on uneven floors, ensuring stability and preventing spills.

To use the worktop, the operator places ingredients or equipment directly on the satin-finished surface. The drawer is opened by releasing the lock and pulling gently; it slides out fully to reveal its contents. When the task is complete, the drawer is pushed back until the lock engages, and the worktop is wiped down with a damp cloth and sanitiser.

The worktop and drawer are constructed from CrNi 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel, a grade chosen for its corrosion resistance and durability in professional kitchens. The satin finish reduces glare and hides minor scratches, while the 1 mm thickness provides strength without excessive weight. Chrome-plated components, such as the drawer handle and lock, add contrast and resist tarnishing.

The overall dimensions of 400 mm depth, 600 mm width and 280 mm height create a compact footprint suitable for tight spaces, while the 22 kg weight allows the unit to be moved by two people without specialised equipment. The adjustable feet can be raised or lowered to align the worktop with adjacent units, ensuring a continuous work surface.

Cleaning involves wiping the worktop and drawer with a damp cloth and mild detergent, followed by drying to prevent water spots. The satin finish does not require polishing, and the chrome-plated parts can be cleaned with a soft cloth to maintain their appearance. The drawer runners should be checked periodically to ensure smooth operation, and the locking system should be tested to confirm it engages securely.
