Rolling rack
A rolling rack keeps ingredients, utensils or prepared dishes off the worktop and ready to move. Instead of fixed shelves or cupboards, it uses an open frame on wheels, so staff can load trays, containers or sheet pans at one station and wheel them to the next without lifting. The frame supports the weight while the wheels carry it across the floor, reducing strain and speeding up service in a busy kitchen.
The operator loads the rack by sliding trays or containers onto the horizontal bars. Once loaded, the rack rolls on its castors, following the kitchen workflow from prep to cooking to plating. The open construction lets air circulate, which helps keep food at a safe temperature while it waits. When empty, the rack folds flat or nests with others to save space in storage.
The RACK-88D is built from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in a kitchen environment. The 800 mm width and depth match standard worktop depths and tray sizes, so it integrates with existing equipment without overhang. At 7 kg, the rack is light enough to move by hand when empty, yet sturdy enough to carry a full load of trays or containers.
Cleaning follows from the open frame: wipe the bars with a cloth or sanitiser, and rinse the wheels under a tap to remove debris. No enclosed spaces trap dirt, and no moving parts require lubrication.
The catalogue places the RACK-88D in the storage and transport section, alongside trolleys and shelving units designed for professional kitchens.
