A gravity-feed slicer draws each slice downward by its own weight, eliminating the need to press the food against the blade. The circular blade spins continuously while the carriage glides forward, shearing a single slice at a time. Because the blade never stops, the operator can work at a steady rhythm, and the slices fall cleanly onto the receiving tray without sticking or tearing. This method is especially effective for soft or sticky foods such as cooked meats and cheeses, where a push-feed slicer might compress the product and distort the slices.
To operate the 330IK-SA, the operator first secures the food block on the carriage with the adjustable clamp. The thickness dial is set between 0 mm and 24 mm, determining how far the carriage advances with each stroke. After switching on the motor, the carriage is pulled forward by hand, bringing the food across the blade. The slice drops onto the tray, and the carriage returns to its starting position. The process repeats until the desired quantity is sliced, with the operator monitoring the thickness and adjusting the dial as needed.
The slicer is built with a 330 mm stainless-steel blade housed in a cast-aluminium body. The carriage and receiving tray are also stainless steel, and the thickness dial is marked in millimetres for precise setting. A single-phase motor runs on a 220–230 V supply, drawing current suitable for a standard kitchen circuit.
The 330 mm blade diameter allows the slicer to handle large blocks of cheese or cooked meats without needing to cut them down first. The 0–24 mm thickness range covers everything from paper-thin shavings to thick slices for grilling. At 56.5 kg, the unit is heavy enough to stay stable on the worktop during use, yet compact enough to fit into a footprint of 759 mm by 592 mm, leaving room for food preparation on either side.
Cleaning involves removing the blade guard and carriage to wash them separately, then wiping down the aluminium body and tray. The blade should be sharpened regularly to maintain a clean cut, and the thickness mechanism checked for smooth operation.
The 330IK-SA is a single model without variants, designed for deli, cheese and cooked-food applications in professional kitchens.
