Coffee machines build up oily residues and carbonised deposits every time they brew. These tablets dissolve the oils and burnt particles that cling to the brewing group, solenoid valve and water passages, stopping rancid flavours and unpleasant odours before they start.

The process relies on a concentrated alkaline detergent that breaks down coffee fats and proteins without harming metal, plastic or rubber parts. When the tablet dissolves in hot water, it releases active agents that lift residues from surfaces and flush them away during the rinse cycle. Daily cleaning prevents the oils from oxidising and turning bitter, keeping each espresso fresh and consistent.

For superautomatic machines, one tablet is placed in the dedicated cleaning slot and the machine's built-in programme is run. Pod and capsule machines require the tablet to be dropped into the filter; the operator then cycles water through the group in short bursts to agitate the solution and rinse it clear. The entire sequence takes only a few minutes and can be scheduled at the end of service or before opening.

Each tablet is pressed from food-safe ingredients approved by the US FDA, ensuring compatibility with all food-contact surfaces.
