Professional washing machine with an 28 kg capacity, a G-factor of 500, and soft-mounted construction. Equipped with EASY TOUCH 2 microprocessor control featuring a 7-inch touchscreen, DANUBE Online IoT connectivity, a steam heating system, and AISI 304 stainless steel components.
A professional washing machine built for high-volume laundries, the DANUBE WED-28 S ET2 uses steam heating to raise water temperature quickly and evenly. Steam is fed from a central supply, eliminating the delay of electric elements and reducing energy use once the target temperature is reached. The drum rotates at 1,024 revolutions per minute, generating a G-force of 500 that extracts more water from fabrics, cutting drying time and energy costs downstream.
Operation begins with loading up to 28 kg of laundry through the large aluminium door, which opens to a diameter of 373 mm. The operator selects one of twenty preset programmes or creates a custom cycle on the 7-inch touch screen. The EASY TOUCH 2 microprocessor adjusts water, detergent and steam flow automatically, matching consumption to the actual load. Three water inlets allow separate feeds for different stages, while eight control signals link to automatic dosing systems, expandable to fourteen if more channels are needed. A USB port lets staff import or export programmes, and the built-in video player displays step-by-step instructions in 37 languages.
The drum and outer tub are made from AISI 304 stainless steel, chosen for corrosion resistance in humid laundry environments. The front panel opens fully for maintenance, giving access to the drum, bearings and steam inlet. An ergonomic door mechanism ensures smooth opening and closing, even when the machine is loaded. Intelligent Consumption and Water Saving functions reduce resource use without manual intervention, while Optimal Loading fine-tunes wash parameters for partial loads.
Powered by a 4.0 kW motor, the machine connects to either a single-phase 230 V supply or a three-phase 400 V circuit, switchable to suit the site. At 524 kg and measuring 979 mm wide, 1080 mm deep and 1550 mm high, it requires a reinforced floor and a dedicated steam line. The footprint allows installation in both on-premise laundries and self-service settings with additional safety equipment.
Cleaning involves wiping the touch screen with a damp cloth, removing lint from the door seal, and periodically checking the steam inlet filter. The microprocessor logs usage data, which can be exported via USB or monitored remotely through DANUBE Online IoT for diagnostics and performance tracking. Optional accessories include extended dosing signals, wet-cleaning kits for delicate textiles, and alternative heating modules for sites without steam supply.
